MARA

Emulating intuitive scientific discovery

Modeling, Abstraction, and Reasoning Agents: systems that build and use world models through active experimentation and abstract reasoning.

Overview

MARA is a long-term effort to build AI systems capable of everyday scientific discovery: proposing hypotheses, running experiments, and building abstract models of how the world works.

The project develops foundations for model representation, abstraction, scalable scientific reasoning, and active learning. Its goal is to create systems that can construct and use world models across simulated, digital, and physical domains using human-comparable amounts of data and interaction.
